    Slight Vibration at take-off

    The morons at the dealership where I bought mine tried reflashing to make mine go away. Needless to say, I haven't been back to them for service. Other dealer tried the shims and greatly reduced the vibration, but it's still there.

    I haven't seen it, but I know someone who has that I trust, they don't need to dip tanks anymore, there is something like a radar gun that 'sees' the dye in the emissions. Just aim it at trucks going by and it will register. The guy that did see it is a heavy truck mechanic that performs repairs...

    Auto. I just realized that it will only do this in 1st gear if that makes any difference. Even in the same RPM range in 2nd, I couldn't feel it.

    That's Ford's only response, isn't it? There isn't any vibration or shudder like that that is normal. I will let you know.

    I did some searching and couldn't find any info. I took delivery of my '05 CC/KR/SB last Thursday. I love this truck, the ride is amazing and it is much quieter in the cab. Granted I am comparing it to a '00 Super Cab, which is still a great truck, just doesn't compare to my new one...

    mjstef, is this problem all the time or just when cold? We have an '05 (with auto) that is displaying basically the same problem, very slow until boost kicks in at 2200 RPM. Although it is OK when not loaded or towing. Hook a trailer and Bobcat to it and I am thankful we don't have many 2...
