the weight can be anything that you can drape over the cable to make it fall to the ground in case it snaps.check with the place you by the winch,they should be able to show you what the winch companys offer.the ones i have seen look like saddle bag.
Dont forget to get a cable weight.Something to lay on the cable in case it breaks.A snapped cable can not only cause extensive damage to your truck,it can also KILL someone standing to close.SAFETY FIRST.
After reading all the mods that everybody is doing to their trucks,I done some to mine .I had a hpx hose made and put it on,I shimmed the fpr and built a 5 in exhaust with a chrome turn down tip.oh and an egt and trans temp guages.

We have this problem on the trucks at work.The problem is with the electronic actuator,it is not strong enough to disengage the transfer case.The pressure on the drive train between the front and rear has to equallize,so the actuator can disengage it.4 lo is realy hard.I have had to ease forward...
I had a local machine shop do the machine work.Me and my nephew put it together.I made the mistake and did not double check everything.so far been running great for 50,000 miles.
Mine had a broke ring when I got it.Bored it,had heads redone.Machine work and parts,plus a little misunderstanding with a rod bolt set me back close to 5,000.00.thats doing the labor myself.
Speaking of blunders.Forget to tighten one of the connecting rod nuts.Luckily only had to replace rod piston two oilers head gasket and get crank machined.Hurt the wallet a little more.
