there really isnt any change in sound. the stock exhaust setup after the dpf/doc is pretty much a straight pipe. the resonator is a straight thru design. the sound wont change until you get a dpf delete pipe.- z71burb

I know that its purely a cosmetic mod, but even after painting the stock tips flat black, I still got sick of them after a while. I got a pretty decent deal on this that I cant post up on the forum, so I couldnt pass it up. Anyhow, heres some pics.- z71burb

taking out the trash...

tried to clean up an eyesore...
they have a polished system out from the factory, and then the small bolt on chrome tips. i hate chrome on my vehicles. im trying to work out getting rid of all of it on my truck save for the fender vents, but wheels and amp steps are a costly add-on, which i dont want to do right now.- z71burb

tried to clean up an eyesore...
everyone knows that one of the downsides to the 08 trucks is that weird looking but supposedly functional tailpipe. i just couldnt stand looking at that discolored hunk of metal hanging out from behind my tire, so i busted out some 2000*F vht flat black header paint and went to town. i think...- z71burb

alright, so I lied.....
ended up doing a few more things to the 08 - i painted the factory fender vent inserts dark shadow gray to match the bottom 2-tone, put chrome bulbs in the turn signal housings in the headlights (still light up amber), and installed a dual steering stabilizer from pro comp. i also installed...- z71burb

i think my dpf is toast - and its screwing with the rest of the truck. i am dumping way too much smoke, from idle through acceleration on a stock program. i had a reflash done a month ago that was supposed to help this, but its only gotten worse. plus, ive lost 2 mpg, which is killer when you...- z71burb
