I'm the first, I'm the first, I'm the first... (do I sound like my 6 year old daughters????)

Well, I guess I'll be the first.

I have love this rig,my family loves it too. We bought it new in 2001. We camp, fish, hike, 4x4, etc... We cannot live with a mini-van and whe have a big family. This has been the perfect "SoccerMom Vehicle." We just ordered a new 2005, (supposed to be the last for my dealer), for Rachel. The best family vehicle ever! My Brother has had several Denalis ( :roflmao ) for a long time, no comparison, IMOP. CHP Ya with me? Let's get some talk going!

Yes indeed the Admins are generous enough to provide us Diesel powered SUV's a place to hang our hats and call home :thumbs

We bought our Excursion new in June 2002 so she's almost 3 years old,the wife drives it about 99% of the time so we'll call it hers while I get the Mustang which isn't all that bad :D

Barrett you know I'm always ready for good Excursion technical talk or conversation about our unique vehicles  :)

Just to note Barrett I attached a couple resized pics on one of your previous posts to use as an avatar if you'd like ;)

Can I post here if I wanted a Excursion instead of the 250. But decided on the 250 with a cap to keep the dog hair at a minimum. :D

I thought about it, but went with the expedition. :sorry guys, but at the time, me and wife thought the rear end of those things were buttugly. Also, she has enough time just parking it, would hate to see her parking something bigger.

btw, it worked out good that we didn't jump on it too. The exp only has 2 inches to spare when parked in the garage :(

also, in 03, I don't think the scurs had as many options as the exp did. ie. cooled seats, gps...

We couldn't fit ours in the garage when we lived in California. Here in Texas... It fits with a couple inches to spare. :D

I dunno what I'm going to do when our 2001 wears out. A 2005 is not in the cards. The only other tow rigs that come close to being as versitile are the crew cab pickups. :dunno

Indeed for engine power, size and gross towing capacity only the SD is left :)

I'd say comon in as I've always had an interest in the Centurion conversions going way back to 89-90 which pretty much led up to the Excursion of today :sweet

I have always like the bigger type vehicles and when the Excursions came out I fell in love with them but knew it would be a long shot at ever owing one. One of the first Excursions the other dealer sold I worked for ended up being the one I bought. My vehicles have to do many things and this one can do it all except fit in a commuter car parking space with out totaling the cars around it. I will miss them when Ford stops making them but who knows whats down the road in Ford land. Both my brothers think I am nuts as they are Chevy Suburban owners, I just tell them you will never understand the reasons for owning a beast like this.
Every time they see it they say that thing is huge, I just tell them that what all the girls say to me. :D :roflmao
I haven't even let them drive it for fear they will want one and it will be one more thing I will have to work on.
:sweet
