    Water in Fuel light?

I did a 14 page search and came up with nothing. After installing a TSperformance chip, the water in fuel light came on immediately (I had filled up at my normal station 5 miles earlier). I drove it around a bit and it didn't go off. I pulled the filter and found no water, I drained it anyway...

    No 4x4 light?

10a fuse under dash is fine, 30a fuse under hood is fine. I take it back, I don't hear any noises when I flip the switch on the dash. I hit the switch and flipped it back and forth several times to no avail. I tapped what I thought to be the ESOF relays #1 and #2. If they are the ones...

    Hot long start

Does it only take one packet or will I need more than one? Should I R&R or replace while out? Or replace the solenoid? New Page 0 is a link I found about removal and R&R. Jesse

    No 4x4 light?

I go out in the snow this morning, haven't been in 4x4 since last winter, try to engage and nothing happens. I hear a solenoid click under the dash but no 4x4 light in lo or hi plus no 4x4. Maybe the connector came loose from the transfer case...but now way I'm crawling under there to find...

problem with cargo and interior light!!!

Mine has also done this when the passenger door sensor was stuck or malfunctioning. I sprayed some WD40 into the hole that the sliding rod goes into (not sure what the name is) and it freed up the switch. Jesse

    early 99 hub assembly

Make sure you pay attention to how you put the balljoints go back in, one has to go in before the other...I think it's the bottom goes in first. Jesse

    early 99 hub assembly

OK, if you got later 99 hubs you need to make sure the rotors you got is also for 99+ because the hat depth is different between early and late. Also, Advance Auto parts has them the cheapest at about $270 as of last year when I did mine. Make sure the ball joints are greasable. As for...

    Hot long start

It seems as if my truck takes longer to start when warm than it does if it sits (not cold, but normal weather). Before orings it took 1.2 seconds (according to Advance Auto's scanner) and sometimes takes a tad longer (seems like forever when it's cranking. Also seems like it takes longer than...

    Online workshop manual?

That's odd, I know for a fact that someone has posted a link on here and I've used it to diagnose trans problems. It had the step by step tear down and rebuild of the trans with all the part numbers and tools required as well as every diagnostic step to go through and procedure that symptom...

I used to have a bookmark to an online Ford workshop manual, but now it is linked to some random thread...does anyone happen to have the correct link for it? I'm trying to diagnose a long hot start issue. Thanks, Jesse

It actually seems like it takes longer to start if I shut it down to run in the store and come back in a few minutes then if I leave it shut down for a couple hours... Jesse

    Finally replaced the glow plugs...almost

It just seems to take too long compared to other 7.3's out there. I've also noticed that it seems to lose power and make noise up higher in the rpm's...also could be a problem in the HPO department so I'd like to try some diagnostics to hopefully prove me wrong. I've read somewhere (but I...

    Finally replaced the glow plugs...almost

Well I changed the rest of them out and behold...all glow plugs on this truck were not working at all. I thought I was testing them wrong until I tested them on the new plugs and I got a reading. Found out my number one injector has been replaced. I also noticed that there was paint/marking...

    Block heater plug?

No wire coming out, just the plug. If I take the plug out will the wire be in there? Will I dump oil or coolant everywhere? So I will have to buy the just the cord or I have to buy the heater too? I thought the heater was built into the engine?
