    06 F250 Tire Question

Currently I am running 38" Mickey Thompson's and 35" Pro-comps. (winter) Both sets of tires have about 20K miles on them and are showing hardly any wear. (3-4/32) You should be able to clear a tire that measures 33" tall with a stock suspension without any rubbing. Some guys are squeaking...

    Milwaukee 18V Batteries

I don't have any Milwaukee cordless tools but I have had the same problem with dewalt 18V batteries. I have been through 4 batteries in 12 months. I am beginning to wonder if it has something to do with how long they they sit on the shelf at the retail stores. :dunno

    Need some serious help!!

I run 38's on my truck with 4:56 gears. I do a fair amount of light towing and mostly in-town driving that was my main reason for my gear change. My truck also managed fine with the stock 3:73's but it has alot more bottom end grunt with the 4:56's. I run autometer ultra-lite gauges in my...

    Deeper Tranny Pans????

On mine I am still running the factory cooler along with the aftermarket cooler. Since your factory cooler is alot bigger than my stocker I don't think you would have any problems cooling the extra fluid. I didn't really need the additional cooler but glad I did. The electric fan really...

    Deeper Tranny Pans????

Bama, I don't have the tranny pan you are looking at mine is an aftermarket steel pan w/ cooling tubes. (derale #14108) It holds an extra 3 quarts of fluid. I installed my aftermarket cooler w/fan first and that's where I noticed the biggest drop in tranny temps. The aftermarket pan helped...

    Oil Pan Replacement

My 02's OE oil pan is also black. It see's salt for at least 5 months of the year and still looks like new.

    Oil Pan Replacement

To the best of my knowledge you have to remove the motor or lift the motor up about a foot off the motor mounts to install a new pan. I have seen several different 7.3's with rotten/ leaking pans.

    Stacks?

I am thinking of installing stacks on my truck in near future and was wondering is anybody running stacks with a boxliner? I know they generate alot of heat but with adequate clearance do you think they would melt the boxliner? :dunno I know several guys that have spray in liners and don't...

    Lift Kit ?s

My tires are 15.5's. Definetly go with completely new rear springs the add-a-leafs and/or block setups are junk. You also might want to consider investing in rear traction bars. I run a combo of skyjacker, superlift, and pro-comp in my superduty and have had no problems yet. I also have an...

    Lift Kit ?s

I have installed a fair amount of lifts and the cheaper ones always seem to have problems. Sagging springs (both leafs and coils), broken mounts and brackets, crapy shocks, etc. I have always had good luck with skyjacker, superlift and pro-comp. (Pro-comp does tend to ride a little stiffer...

    best price on stacks?

I have been thinking for awhile about putting stacks on my truck. Does anybody know off hand who has the best prices? I'm thinking on going with a GrandRock kit with 36X7" mitre cuts. I need everything right from the turbo back. The cheapest price I can find is $699 for the stack kit plus...

    lift tire size question

I ran 37X13.5's on 16x10" wheels with a 6" lift and just had to trim back the factory bumper skirt. I had no problems clearing my 38x15.5's on 20x10" wheels with an aftermarket bumper and 8" of lift. Currently I run about 10" of lift and have just enough room to clear 39.5's.

    Lockers

I donot have any diff mods done to my PSD besides gears but I have had ARB air lockers in the front and rear of a couple off-road toys (fullsize trucks) and had very good luck with them. They are a little pricey compared to some of the others but well worth the extra coin.

tire opinions for an 07 dually

I have never had much luck with BFG's, always had good luck with michelins, and never ran any firestones. Right now my winter tires are Pro-comp all-terrians they seem to be wearing really well (already have 2 winters on them) and have a decent all-season tread. Just my :2c
