    I though I seen the weaker rods cam in 2001 and if you had a 01 it was a crap shot at if you got the good ones or the weaker ones.

    Glad to hear is was repaired fairly cheap. You have what Dana calls a Track lock. I am just glad I was correct in you having a Dana 80 :cheers:

    I hate viruses. I keep seeing norton catching trojans all the time. I have no idea where they are coming from. system is clean on a full scan, no ad-ware, no IE hijackers. but I have been having MSN messenger on alot lately. Your making me think about it now.

    my guess is you have a dana 80 in the rear of that truck. detroit will run 700+ and I dunno if ARB makes a Dana 80 air locker. ARB will probably be a few hundred more than the detroit, plus you need some sort of air compressor to power the pump.

    Closest for me is 25 miles away, They said it was B99 and cost is $3.33 per gallon. I can get dino diesel for $3.05 right now. I have been thinking about a WVO conversion. How well does a 01 powerstroke take to this swap?

    unknown, I purchased it with 61k on it then changed the filters out on it. Carfax said it had been in for service at all of the millage intervals it was supposed to be at. So I have no idea as what was done previously. :(

    I have yet to get to this mod yet, but in doing it, is there any way to clean out the oil film from inside the intercooler, or just leave it be?

    my plans from what I have been reading are looking to be. -shim the fpr -ccv mod -cold air intake -AIH delete -either remove the exhaust brake or make it so I can use it when I want to. -either the adjustable 10k mod or 18k mod. this is all after I do guages.

    I know with the older tuner I have for my bronco's EFI it says in bold print "do not remove while key is on or engine is running" supposedly it will damage the tuner and ECM. But who knows on the new stuff. Just to be sure I used a excessive amount of Duct tape to make sure my tuner does not...

    Curious ditty about cruise control....

    I was told this a few weeks ago. I was towing my 9k trailer with my truck and every hill I hit it would slow down even with my foot on the floor, yet when I did the same hills with the cruise on it drove right up them with out slowing.

    I actually have a laundry list of stuff I want to do, guages are the first install item, so untill then it is stayins stock. I was thinking on a variable switch so I can control the different resistances on the mod.

    proably seen many of these threads. I read the 10k mod on the WIKI tech articles, what the power gains you can get from using a lower vs higher ressitance resistors? I am thinking on going this way rather a tuner because, well I am cheap and need more go for towing the play toy.
