    Exhaust

I consider myself a proficient welder/fabber, but am look for an exhaust kit. I have a truck lift, mig and tig welders, and most every cutting tool out there. I don't consider making my own exhaust to be a bargain. First of all, you would need to order a downpipe from somebody. Then you need...

    I want smoke stacks.

I don't know anything about stacks for an 08, with the room afforded by the cat and DPF. But, in general, it's hard to do all the T and elbow stuff below the bed, as the frame rails, driveshaft and fuel tank are in the way.

spaghetti, no more (new amp rack installed)

Looks plenty good to me. A few questions. Is the Hush Mat worth the cost and effort to install? Wouldn't the floor help the most? Did you do the interior of the door panels too? Are the 6.5's hard to install in the 6x8 openings? Just a bit of cutting and new screw holes? If I was only...

Interesting. Not too common I suppose. But not a big deal either.

Ford man, just got first Diesel

Nice ride. Are you serious that you have an electronic transfer case and a manual tranny? That would definitely be the first time I've heard of that....

spaghetti, no more (new amp rack installed)

Nicely done there. Could you gain any depth behind your rear seat if you got rid of the carpeted back wall (or trimmed where your sub box is) and take out the vent in the back wall right behind where your sub box is now? I bet you would gain an easy 1/2 inch, probably more. What other speaker...

    Best Tire Prices

Keep in mind that most of the suggested places probably don't carry 19.5's, and if they do, probably not the top of the line Michelin. Truckstop type shops is what you'll be looking for, see if you can find something on the internet.

    Inverter Behind Seat

I'm going to mount it behind the rear seat, on the back wall of the cab. I have gotten rid of the carpet that was there and mounted a piece of wood there to screw the inverter to, along with other electrical connections, etc. Access is easy, just flip down the seat. I'm looking for one with a...

    Inverter Behind Seat

I've got buckets and a console. Nice try though. ;) It should be okay, I've got plenty of other crap behind the seat, all my other wiring terminates there. Just need to make it a little neater/efficient use of space.

    Inverter Behind Seat

Well it's not going to work under the dash. My leg likes that area when driving. It's going to go behind the rear seat on the driver's side. Running some old welding cable to the battery. Making an outlet in the dash, and one in the bed, with a weatherproof box, of course.

    "03 6.0 won't start

Get all your old parts back at the very least. If you can, have them put your old batteries back in when the do get it running to their satisfaction. Sorry to say this, but it's looking like this dealer is trying to work you over. How many miles on your truck? Warranty?

    Inverter Behind Seat

Thanks for the links, fellers. I do like the ECM idea, close to the battery, etc, but being 6'5" my legs need all the room I can get. But I will have a look, maybe it will work, who knows. I was planning on putting a duplex receptacle in the dash where the cigarette lighter is now.

    Inverter Behind Seat

Is it a bad idea to mount an inverter behind the rear seat of a crew cab? I'm looking at getting a 1000-1500 watt unit, not sure if it's a good place to mount it or if it will be too warm back there. Are the bargain units you see here and there a deal or do I need to stay away from those and...

How about taking a syringe with or without needle to squirt it in your valve stem? No mess, no fuss.

    Typing finger count.

What about the choices for people that need "All 9" as their choice? Haha. I was down to 9 1/2 fingers once, luckily it grew back together pretty good. Gotta watch out for them fingers.... I can type a corrected 60 WPM pretty easily, as long as I don't run out of things to say. Highschool...

    Strongback™ aluminum flatbed

Nice product. Finally a web page that has great pics and many of them. Most sites don't show enough pics. I really find this to be the case with farm equipment manufacturers. Never enough detail shots!

    ISSPRO stands behind their products!

I have also communicated with that feller on "another" forum, before I found this one. I don't go ever there hardly at all anymore. But he has answered my questions about my oil pressure gauge, and some other things too, don't remember what we discussed. He's a great guy. I wish he would...

    Boost Tube Leaks?

I was riding in my truck with a friend the other day, and under acceleration he said his sounded a bit different, I might have a boost leak. I have thought this before, but could never find a leak. Today I took the air filter out and used some pipe fittings to create a fitting with a gauge...

    Tire Size vs Mileage

Thanks for the replies. Yes, the speedo would be off a bit, but that can be altered with a little math pretty easily, especially for figuring MPG. Too bad these are not the answers I was hoping to hear! Haha.

    On the 6.4's

I have heard of similar stories from Canada. Maybe it's too far north for great reception, the satelites aren't really aimed that far north? Sirius or XM? FM Modulated?

    F350 Superduty Diesel jump start

Some of it also depends on the quality of the connection made. It's on my list to make a set of bumper booster, a plug for the cables. Transfer more amps than with clamps on both ends, I feel. I use my PSD allot to boost, farm equipment, irrigation motors, I tell you what, the upfitter switch...
