Question Slider or Non Slider Fifth wheel hitch

If the rails are in the bed now I would look into a Reese slider otherwise you will be drilling more holes? I have the www.pullrite/superglide.com with the superrail mouting kit in my 08 and 01. The benifit to this hitch is you don't need to get out to adjust the hitch but the price high.

    Question 3.73 vs 3.55

I have also ran these Ford trucks with verious gear selections and 3.55 would not work in a gas truck pulling grades. I checked into this with some 4x4 shops in town before I bought mine. The general sensus is these trucks make so much power it would only be noticeable from a start. I agree with...

    ELITE (Fusion)

I have four year emmision exemption on my truck and have alot of warrenty time left. In Douglas County Co. I have to get emmisions test every year and I'm wondering if they would nip me for the DPF missing. I already know the dealer I deal with will not tollerate any aftermarket parts so I would...

    Question 3.73 vs 3.55

You should be fine. I pull the passes here in Colorado with a 2008 F-350 SRW, 5W and boat and have no problems at 60 - 70 mph. There is only 4% diffrence, it will make a diffrece if you go with a larger tire in the future.

Question Oil Pressure & Pyrometer Gauges?

I see... so a A2 monitor would be PCM relayed and you want readings from the sourse. Can you get a A2 or compairable that has all the info w/o programer?

Question Oil Pressure & Pyrometer Gauges?

Can you get a electronic display with out the programer, like the Edge A2 or Bully Dog? Those are good questions I also would like to monitor the other vitals.

    17" wheels and 08 F250

You need the 18" or larger wheels due to caliper size. I also checked to see if I could run 16" wheels because the tires that came w/the truck are worthless and tires for 18" wheels are outrageus. Also, with the 18" wheel package, if your truck is a job #3 you have 3.55 gears 20" have the 3.73...

note 6.4 snow in air cleaner

When I bought my pickup the cover was with it. The dealers here in Colorado include them when they place the order. On my last pickup 7.3 I ordered a summer/winter front from cabelas, I also got one for the 6.4. The winter front has two flaps that you can open for intake air, for thirty bucks...

Advice on new truck and tuners

That sucks, my truck was stolen and then they burned it to the ground last June. I have a 08 F-350 and also got a good deal, this engine has alot of power and the trany with the brake controler is a good combo. This engine is too new to throw money at untill we find out what proven products work...

    08 Leveling Kit or what?

I hear READ LIFT is a good one (All Steel) with shock extentions so you can use all stock suspension parts, and you could do it yourself. A 2.5 leveling kit would be right but keep in mind that if you tow you will want the truck to be level, air bags for the rear is a good and safe idea (Air...

    Contitrac TR 18"

I live south of Denver and we have not had a snow storm yet but we will. I bought tire chains for hunting season for deep snow and mud, but I should have a leveling kit. I also pull a 5W w/a boat and have noticed great wear and comfot with these tires. I have found Wrangler Silent Armor in this...

    Contitrac TR 18"

How have these tires performed in the snow? I have been looking at tires on line and there are not a lot to choose from in the 275/70/18.

    FYI Tire Chains

My last truck was 01 F250 4x4, I had a leveling kit on the front and 3" blocks in the rear with air bags. The tires were 285/65/16. the reason why I had the leveling kit was for the tire chains (clearance) with a compressed suspension. The 08 4x4 F350 will need the same with the 275/70/18...

New Owner! I Still Miss My 7.3

Last June my 2001 was stolen for four weeks then it was found burnt to the ground. I looked at the GMC, Dodge and Ford and was not impressed with the quality of any of them compaired to my 7.3. Although my 08 is quiet and powerfull I will need to invest into similar upgrades as my last truck. I...
