    Air filter "gauge"

    Snow will set the light also...was making a run when one of our Plains blizzards hit....clogged the filter until I could get it into a warm spot.

    Just be sure on 05 and newer that you plumb a vent line to the popit on the top of your main tank or you will have a leaking problem sooner than later.

    Correct...hardly ever use the stock filler. Generally fill at a card-lock so not concerned with anyone removing the wrong cap. I am not sure of the physics but it doesn't usually fill above where I have the aux plumbed into the original fill-tube.

    Gravity feed is what I use. On my 04 it works great ...no issues and it was under $20 for the proper tubing; as was previously reported...when the gauge starts to move, you know the aux tank is empty. My 06 presented some difficulties: ie. : check-engine light always on and figuring out why...

    Best yet Heya Big....these Hellas Consumers | Hella USA and Canada are the best I've seen.They will light up ditch to ditch on a 4 lane and they won't po oncoming drivers if they are properly aimed. Great for spotlighting the Queen's Donkeys (Whitetails) hiding in the ditch waiting to pounce...

    Steering

    wheel free-play. I looked high n low thru the threads going back a few months but couldn't find a post re PSD steering free-play. I had my 04 into the tech a couple of days back and he tightened an adjusting screw on the steering gear box....I gotta tell ya that it's taken all the free-play out...

    2 Stroke Oil Works!!!

    not convinced that fuel additives helped me either with smoother running or increased fuel economy. I've tried Howes and CP with and without cetane boost and I couldn't see any benefits....it just added about $4 a day to my operating costs. Just my $0.02 Be well!

    Which Synthetic oil??

    most are good these days as long as they meet the required specs. I use one that I know I can find in most any little town I might be in, (PetroCan "Duron"). Readily available in my neck of the woods.....it's a Canadian co. but I'm sure there must be similar products in Texas. Lots o peepz here...

    MBRP on both my rigs....my 04 had a problem with the down-pipe hittin firewall...several posts on this site to fix this problem...I'd recommend them. Be well!

    4x4 make sure it hasn't locked itself in 4x mode....some of these had a problem with this...Ford looks after this far as I know. Be well!

    Never noticed this bounce your referring to other than what I get from the not so smooth hiways we have way too much of. But, really, have never had it on smooth stretches of road.     heads came from *^%(! Tech showed me the heads....in excess of the allowed 2 thousands under the straight-edge and they were never polished...not only could one see the milling but could feel the ridges too. Man...would never have figured we produced such :cussing: quality on this...

    New heads Bama....apparently they were going to just replace the gaskets but found a problem with the heads when they were removed. I don't believe the resevoire (splchk) was ever empty of coolant and not aware of it ever running above normal temps. I haven't actually talked to the tech directly...

    =new heads! Asked the tech to see why it was loosing coolant, figured they would do the dye thing, and now I hear they're gonna replace the heads. Seems they are coming out of Stateside on a Camel....taking forever to get them. Seems I'm having all the luck...poor me :(

    O ring on the pickup sump pickup tube was allowing air into the system and causing low oil pressure at idle. Nearly $4gs to figure this out. I have a major problem when I can't communicate directly with tech. This whole thing could have been aleviated had the deskjockey told the tech exactly...

    lol....well, the tech for sure. I told them several times that oil pressure dropped sharply at idle...truck never actually died, just wouldn't start again when i shut it off. Never heard any distressing sounds from the engine but they are now telling me that when they did get it to run a bit...
