    Oil filter housing

ongoing saga of my 6. Wpg dealership changed the oil-filter housing....didn't aleaviate the problem re oil-pressure at idle. They then pulled the front cover off the engine becuase they then felt it had to be the oil-pump. Duh....wasn't the oil-pump so now they want to drop the oil-pan because...

    Q on brakes and rotors

on original rear pads at 400,000+...have replaced front at approx 200,000. Next time they will be the CryoSlot that some here have used. Seems they are pretty close to same $ as Ford replacements. My miles are mostly hiway. Check the forums...seems ifn I recall Bama and others have used these.

Need to lower the back of the rear seat.

    I think it's because it's a S/C. Both my 04 and 06 seatbacks will lower but they're CCs. Then again...maybe I don't really have a clue about it, lol.:roflmao Be well!

    Tire Tread Question

Front of course if your running asphault...ifn I'm gonna have a tire go south, I want it to be a rear...far easier to control a rear blowout versus a front. As I recall, I did that even when I did a lot of 4X4n when I was a bit younger. There's my $.02 Be well!

    turbo going South!

noise only in my experience with this one.......the tailpipe has been extremely sooty black since I bought the truck and installed the Van Aaken chip. Have never had to add oil between changes (changing oil at approx 22000 to 25000k). Since we hardly ever use more rpm than needed to get down...

    turbo going South!

I questioned the tech lol....he told me that when he reved the engine the pitch sound of the turbo changed...this was enough for him to determine the turbo was done. I asked him if there weren't other tests that should be done prior to swapping parts....I think he is sulking now, lol. The shop...

    4 low

my Dodge would do that on occassion ifn I didn't get the shift just perfect....it's a 6spd. I don't think I ever had occassion to try the Fords. Recall that issue with other 4X4s I've had. Seemed they all got better with practice.

I just found this!Is it true

GM is also having an issue with the DPF according to a tech I talked with...would seem they aren't making it public, ie: media release. Perhaps better to let Ford take the heat. The unit I looked at had a very condensed exhaust system that exited very near the rear of the cab...would think that...

    Ford recalls 37,000 SuperDuty trucks

GM has the same or similar setup....Had a 4500 series behind me today when I was fueling up...the tech was saying they are having similar problems. I couldn't get over the "blow-torch" lookin exhaust tip. Must be near to 2", maybe 2.5" exhaust tip inside a 6" tube. He was commenting about how...
