    Is this from the guide in the owners manual? If not, where did it come from? I've got an 03, so perhaps there is a difference between model years, but I believe the truck stayed pretty much the same. My hitch has a data plate that says 12.5k, but my book says 11.

    Not to foil your King Ranch plans, but you might want to check with BD Power for their exhaust brake. I seem to remember them saying it wouldn't fit the X, but after researching the installation location and pictures, I think it'll fit if you don't mind deleting the kitty. But check first.

    I got the serial cable because 1) I thought my computer had the IO port (didn't check before ordering) and 2) I need the serial adaptor to run the software on my PDA. Doing this saves me the trouble of lugging the laptop around when out and about--should I have a problem with the truck.

    I don't think it's the turbo, but rather the programming. After getting this latest flash my turbo lag was pretty severe. My SCMT took care of the turbo lag problem. :dunno Then again, I've had two bad turbos, so maybe oi8228oi's on to something.

    I didn't pull the headliner down, just pulled it down far enough so I could reach my hand up and plug the harness in to the fixture. Excursions have a long headline, maybe your's is easier. Use the link TBar posted, it works well.
