    I replaced my batteries last year when I noticed the truck beginning to have slow starts. Yours maybe on the outs as well. Try cleaning the battery posts and terminal ends on the cables to see if that helps. Good Luck.

    Or you could switch over to Evans coolant and not have to worry with SCA's anymore. A very worthwhile change for the better, IMHO but the coolant is a little pricey. Just my .02.

    :eek: Very nice write up, 'Stroker. If I may ask, why not just change your coolant over to Evans NPG and not have to worry anymore about SCA's, boiling/freezing point, green or gold coolant,etc? Just curious.

    David, I believe the hose that goes around the belt is one for a dual alternator set-up. I don't have the p/n but you could go to Napa and tell them you need the upper radiator hose for the 7.3L with the dual alt's and they could get it for you.:thumbs

    As for temps pre and post turbo, your most accurate readings will be pre-turbo in the up-pipe. I believe those temps should not exceed 1250*. Post turbo temps are gonna be a couple hundred degrees higher, but I wouldn't rely on those being that accurate, since you may have toasted your turbo...
