    Are the steering boxes the same on a 4x4 and a 2wd or are they different. (99-04) Mine needs replaced, and a local boneyard has an 04 that just came in with less than 30k on it, but its a 2wd. If I remember I think they are the same, but I need to know before I go and buy it. Thanks in advance!

    If you're going to go to the trouble of changing the springs, get the springs from a 350 dually. They are the same size and will swap right in, and they should provide better support.

    That plate that you referred to on the side of the transmission is where the PTO (power take-off unit) would be mounted. It should be six bolts. As Patrick said, your best bet is to remove the inspection cover and check things over.

    I'd try cleaning the contacts on the chip and ecm very well, and reinstall the chip. Those contacts will cause problems if the connection isn't good. If the contacts are really dirty/corroded, there is a product called "Deoxit" We use it in the professional sound industry with great results.

    The 4x4 duallys just run a spacer bolted onto the rotor. The 2wd duallys have a a one piece brake rotor like the older GM duallys do. Could the hole inside the spacer be too narrow?

    Is AIC still available?

    I just bought an AIC for $199 on ebay. They guy was very slow to ship(10 days). The AIC does come with the harness and the bracket. Just make sure that you specify that its for an F-Series, or you might end up with the bracket for an E-Series. The AIC isn't any different, just the bracket.

    Whats the difference between 304 stainless, and 409 stainless? My main concern is how well it will hold up to salt, as the truck is about to be in the UK. I'm looking at a 4" turbo back mbrp system. Thanks in Advance.
