    Oil filter of choice?

    I use a purolator filter. I can't speak for the 6L but all other fram filters are junk. If its a gas engine I use wix.

    Hey, I didn't do the leaf addition so im not sure what a plactie saddle is. I will check the U bolts and sway bar tomorow. I was thinking sway bar aswell but its to dark and cold to check now. Thanks Jeff

    Hey, Got a leaf added to the front and the back of my 04 6.0L F250 and now I have a clunking sound from the passanger side floor board when I turn left. Doesn't always happen but more so when I turn the wheel faster. Any idea what it could be? Thanks Jeff

    Hi, No pyrometer but I havent had the truck that long. Apparently it had the headgaskets done last july or 40,000 KM ago. What also peeves me off is the new turbo and fixed exaust leak didn't fix my problem of the engine going quiet. Its got to be a bad EGR or maybe its just normal lol...

    Hi, It was the exaust side. They said if it was the intake side id be screwed as far as warrentee is concerned. They said often people run K&N air filters and the turbos are not warrenteed because of the dirt the filter let through and "dusted" the fins. Anyway thanks for the info! Cheers...

    Hey, I think they just replaced it ( the refered to a TSB on the sheet) because the fins of the turbine where practically gone. I don't know if thats a replaceable part or not but they just figured a replacement turbo was the best option. It runs like a champ now!

    06 f250 making erratic noise

    Mine does this aswell, goes quiet and then comes back up. I think mine may have been a bad EGR, EBP sensor or an exaust leak I had. I am getting the leak fixed now so Ill know soon enough. Cheers Jeff

    Did you have both done, or just the egr cooler? I have 0 puking and it has not been running rough so they doubted the heads but prepared me for the possibility of having them done aswell. They say the new EGR coolers are much less prone to failing. Cheers Jeff
