    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

Sky's is just a couple hours up the road from me, good guys to deal with they make quite a few custom pieces at good prices. They will sell the pieces separately also so if someone wants to get just the shackles they are reasonably priced. you got a good price on that kit definitely worth the...

    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

Yeah, my brother and I did the fab work, he is a lining outfit superintendent and been welding for 25 years, new metal cost me about $45 plus $15 for welding rod and $20 for other stuff-gas-grinding wheels-misc.. The steering and springs would need to be added to for best results so figure...

    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

Didn't have a digital camera when I did the RSK but they are real simple and I could probably take a couple that would give you the idea and could send you soft copies of the templates for the pieces if you wanted to do one. Since I went 4.5 inches on the front it was easiest for me to flip the...

    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

Your wheel is probably slightly off center due to the lift of 1 inch that you mentioned. Did you change the tie rods yet or leave the TTB ones on? you will need to adjust them to get it centered if you want the steering wheel centered again since you added a little lift and to adjust the toe...

    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

Couple of ways to fix that in order of effort/cost and ride improvement: 1. Bolt on a set of stock OBS F350 springs, they are quite a bit thinner should ride like any other 350 easy to find these at any yard probably. 2. Build your own RSK and use a set of OBS 350 springs I can give you the...

These were my thoughts too, my single curiosity would be what would be modified to "flow match" the injectors anyway. All the wear parts are availalbe from Dipaco in only one size for each body type. Based on what little I know I believe the critical piece to be the VOP of the needle and...

Why the thumbs down? Jim has always been straight up about mods and not keeping secrets. He will give out the information for free and the prices on the parts on there are good. IMO this is a good thing because I don't think that there is any magic going on in injector land until you start...

Oh yeah here is some drawings I made of the pieces used to box in the arms.

    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

Mud, the RSK I made for 4.5" exactly and then when I welded it up I gained another 1+ somehow, the back is also 4.5" and since the front was always an inch low and is now .5 higher than the back it's equivalent to six inch springs i would guess. Pretty much perfect for 315's I think but would be...

    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

It seemed like a lot to me too but a bunch of the folks I talked to on the dark side seemed to be anywhere from 3/16-3/8" and with the ever changing toe on a 250 I guess ride height is key to getting it correct, just glad I don't have to guess anymore.

    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

If you have the TTB front end still in 2 pieces 3/8" toe is about right, one more reason to not like it but if you don't run a lot of toe the tires will walk out all the time when going forward. That's about what mine was set to before welding it up and it drove pretty good tires didn't wear...

    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

Yeah, so did my brother and then proceeded to trade it to the stealer for a new dodge and left it in there, and yes, I am still torqued about it.

    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

I'm not really sure on the turning radius could be just in my head but I was thinking about all the scrubbing I would get with the TTB and how the tires walk when not in a straight line. You know that handy constantly changing toe that comes standard with the TTB effecting the turn radius a...

    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

Thanks, have to get some better pics with more light under there. I knew beforehand that it would be bouncy due to the spring rate of the 250 springs but definitely drives better, turns sharper no scuffing on tight turns no walking out when backing up. As soon as I pick up some SD springs the...

    Couldn't take the TTB anymore

Couldn't take it anymore had to get rid of the goofy TTB, couldn't justify the 1200 going rate for a 60 but still looking for a truck to buy swap and sell the truck again, yes I know a 60 is the way to go but this will do for now. Final straw was my brother didn't tell me he was trading in...

    Power steering hose

A little while back I had to replace my power steering hose after it blew out at the pump end. Well ever since then it has been seeping fluid out the end on the gear box, afraid to tighten it anymore but still seeps. This was an upgraded napa part that I put in and had no oring on it or...

I know exactly what you mean Power Stroke, if I think I can build it I never buy it especially when I got 5 rowdy boys to entertain. I did mine pretty much like you said, just had to barely push the insulation back, on the first go around I used the 3" all the way to the front of where the...

It's all in the marketing, you know, if you don't put new shocks on it will ruin the 1000 bucks worth of tires i just put on and if I don't do the tugger kit it will cost $3000 for a new tranny and so on and so on.

Hey joe, yeah I will have to take some pics still need to fix one curve where it joins the old exhaust run out of time and pieces but works good. Still looking for a spare injector to swap in but need to do a tugger kit first probably at the end of the month. Just did new wheels and tires last...

    how much boost???

Is your EBPV still hooked up? if you unhooked the arm and left the valve swinging it will cause enough backpressure to keep the boost below 10psi.

Yeah, I saw pics of 2 of them installing 4" and looked like they had to cut a chunk of the firewall out and replace it with a concave piece. Don't think I will ever need the 4", pretty significant change with the round 3.

The factory 99-03 super duty pipes are 3" but nice and round like the aftermarket ones for an OBS. I was really surprised to find one undamaged and all in piece at the salveage yard seeing as how everything else was gone including the rest of the exhaust. The turbo flange is a different size...
