    Got one...seems better seal to me. Too easy! Thanks for the tip. I kept the original for temporary use instead of buying a 2nd like you did. Call me cheap, will see if I can score a deal on the cleaner and a 2nd filter down the road.

    My new 6.7 started w/o complaint at -10 recently. I'm not sure what the DEF in the tank looked like at that point... but no issues with the start. They have made finding and storing the cord really nice and easy above the passenger side tow hook...completely opposite of my '02 7.3L.

    thanks, Big Joe. Fit right into the stock box, right? I ran the oiled PG6 for about 10 years or more on my '02. Just curious about the dry filter as an alternative.

    Possible rear main leak; clutch is slipping

    I'm no expert, so take this for what it's worth. There is also a plug with an o-ring on the back side of our engines that would be worth checking. Maybe you have done that already. I have 228k and never have changed it. I'm dripping all over again...but it's an automatic. Good luck!

    The idea here is that diesel sitting around is a soup for microbes. More of a concern than gelling in storage unless you expect to suddenly need to start it when it's gelled. But the microbes create slime, and that makes all sorts of problems. That, in my opinion, is the greater issue here...
