One thing I forgot to mention. The truck quit on the dealers park lot. After 10 minutes of trying to start on the dealers parking lot I was wiggling wires at the turbo and for somre reason it started up and ran normal. We drove it about a block and it quit again. This time it would not...

Truck quit today right in the Ford Dealers parking lot. What are the chances? Barely runs, have to hold it to the floor to keep it running. Sounds like its running on maybe 2 cylinders. It was just sitting in the parking lot idling and it started to choke and within in 5 seconds it died...

I could probably make up a special style that is dial up friendly. Give me a few weeks and I'll see what i can do. I will put it on my 'to do' list.

I've done the same thing Daryl. I managed to get them back in as well but it was a fight.

Actually I am pretty sure it is a passenger side mirror and you need the drivers side, correct?

It's always our fault. :) I think I have a parts mirror around. I can't remember what is good and what is bad. I'll have a look and let you know.

A couple things worth mentioning. You need a special ford radio removal tool to remote the radio. There are also 2 7mm bolts that you have to loosen off a bit on the top of the radio opening once the radion is removed.

Come on guys we are all one big happy family :) We have both IDI sections and people can choose which atmosphere they feel more comfortable with. Both will grow and develop. I am sure that with time both will be great sources for information.

Very nice. The only thing I don't like about it is I'd hate to get rid of that A/C vent if it were my truck.

I am with Daryl. It is probably the truck or trailer wired wrong. 4 wire plugs always use the same colors. white - ground green - right turn yellow - left turn brown - tail lamps I would use a battery charger or a battery (make sure you use a fuse) and test each of the 3 circuits...

What side do you need to tap into the + side or the - side? I would assume the horn relay is under the hood in the fuse block. You could unplug the horns and honk the horn and you should be able to hear it click. There should also be a legend on the lid telling which relay is which.

I thought they used the VVT to do that? As far as I know there is no throttle plate other then the turbo. I could be wrong.

At one time I found a web site that information on all the TSB's and just about everything you can imagine for the 6.0L. I think it was run by a Ford tech. Does anyone know which site I am referring too? I thought I bookmarked it but I can't find it now. :thanks

Perhaps he has an aftermarket throttle plate. Some diesels that can be in situations such as propane leaks etc have them added. I don't think they even looked at it. I have little faith in my dealer. Time to take it back I guess. I just like to be able to tell them where to look.

On my 03 6.0L the turbo has been cutting out once in a while. It is getting worse all the time but of course it will never act up for the dealer. Is this a common problem?
