    Question P0683 Glow Plug fault

I have verified that my Glow Plug control module is okay, but that my PCM has an issue. Does anyone rebuild the Ford PCM? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Buying a new one doesn't look to appealing right now. Thanks.

    Rear Main Seal leaking

Wow, and to think I only asked a question about a possible rear main leak......I appreciate the info on the oil in the valley and the HPOP seals as well as the fuel filter drain. As it turns out, you guys were right. The rear main is fine. So do you recommend DieselORings.com for the repair...

    Question 2WD suspension upgrade?

Had not considered adding a steering dampner before. It does have oversized tires, but on a 2WD? Something to look into. I did discover that my front wheel bearings were shot, so those are replaced now. And my radius arm bushings were softer that a fresh Krispy Kream donut, so those are next...

    Question 2WD suspension upgrade?

My Excursion is starting to drive like a 1970 IH dump truck. Any ideas on upgraded suspension mods, greasable front end components like ball joints, tie rod ends, etc that would tighten it up a little? Any input would be appreciated as well as where to find it. Thanks.

    Help Needed 6.0 accel delay

Hello, hope I can find some answers out there. We have a 2004 6.0 PSD that seems to drive fine with plenty of power at WOT but when cruising down the highway and accelerating slightly, it has a long delay before it accelerates. Any one had that problem? How did you fix it? I would appreciate any...

    Help Needed No brake lights

Hey guys: I have been MIA for some time. A 1999 F-250 work truck was donated to our church and I use it to pull our sound equipment trailer. I noticed that the brake lights are out. I checked the obvious but can't seem to find the problem. I checked for a signal at the rear frame near the...

    Don't leave me stranded...

Okay, I plugged in the scanner an I had a P-code P-DRPSIE, which loosly translated to a Dr. Pepper can stuck in exhaust. Geez, sometimes it is just the most obvious things! Well, it seems to be running okay right now, if it comes back, I'll have to pull out that can, it is getting a little...

    Don't leave me stranded...

I will definitly restock the glove box supply cabinet! Oh, by the way, it started acting up again. I replaced the fuel filter just to eliminate that issue. Any other ideas??

    Don't leave me stranded...

I keep talking to my truck but it ain't listening! It has started to stumble under light acceleration lately but seems okay on the highway. There is no check engine light on. Does this sound like a CPS issue or fuel delivery issue to you? Maybe something else? Most of the highways around here...

    BG PRODUCTS

Greetings everyone. I work at a shop that uses BG Products but we don't work on any diesels here (bummer). We have seen good results with their products on gas motors. Has anyone had a BG Diesel Injector service performed on their vehicles? If so, what were the results? Did it run better? How...

    Steering box adjusted

A total of about 2/3 according to my marks that I made before I started the process. It's like driving a different truck now. The steering is much more responsive from center now and it is easier to keep in my own lane without sawing on the steering wheel like you would see in the old cheesy movies.

    Traction bar snubbers wasted!

The snubbers control axle wrap. Depending on where they are located, they either stop the axle from rolling too far forward or back on braking or accelerating. It is hard to imagine but the leaf springs can actually bend into an "s" shape when accelerating and/or braking hard.

    Steering box adjusted

Howdy: I just finished my steering box adjustment per the instructions I found on the site. What a difference! I wish I had done that a year ago. Now my Ex steers like a Porsche....with really bad oversized tires! Thanks for all the advice and tips!:thumbs

    Bio in San Antonio?

I just got back from the Petro Pantry (aka Shell) with their B20 in the tank. It seems to run okay, like the regular Ultra Low Performance stuff at all the other fillin' stations. I had B5 in the tank before this and it was the 500ppm Low Sulfur fuel. I believe it ran better on the 500ppm B5...

    Bio in San Antonio?

Thanks Guys. I knew someone would know, especially Bill - he knows everything:hail I just finished changing my oil and I think I will attempt the steering box adjustment as she is getting a little sloppy on the highway.

    Bio in San Antonio?

Anybody know where I can find some Biodiesel blends in the San Antonio, TX area? Last time I found any was when I left Houston! That was a couple of weeks ago and my tank is about empty. Thanks!

    Under-utilized forum

Hello Folks, Still here just busy moving to San Antonio. Thought I had a job but guess what. Still nuttin'! Truck is running great. Filled up with B5 the other day at Loves and seemed to run better and a lot quieter. Other than that no new news.

    Need water pump answers please!

Well, all done. I think the worst part was removing the fan (especially when you can't figure out how to use the tool properly. A little instruction later and "poof", it worked like magic!) The motor even sounds better. I guess that flopping water pump shaft was in a rhythm with the dieseling...

    Need water pump answers please!

Figures. I just got back from the NAPA store and bought a "new" water pump with the cast-in neck. I found cheaper pumps out there but figured NAPA would stand behind their stuff and have had good luck with their parts before. Hopefully I won't run into any problems with it. Thanks for...
