    Radar detectors

I still run the Valentine One, But Bell Escort came out with a "Max 360" & "Max 360c" awhile back which appears to be the top dogs. They are digital verses analog.

    Potential Engine repair/replacement avoided!!

Caissiel, Are you in the USA? I didn't know ULSD was available in Europe. Europe has been diesel driven for years, in reverse from the US, much can be learned about Diesel longevity & small vehicle useage from there. My wife & I have driven approximately 300,000 miles on Diesel Since 2002...

    Potential Engine repair/replacement avoided!!

I thought the 500 ppm stuff is long gone & I was told the remaining pumps that still say 500 are being filled with 15 ULSD & just need to be tested to ensure all that is remaining is ULSD. This whole thing has perked my interest if there is still real LSD to be purchased. B2 used to add...

Installed V Code & B Code Springs, HOORAY!

The leaf spring packs were around $600. Shocks were $200+ IIRC. I was so fed up with the Excursion, I was going to trade it off, hated driving it. After mod, totally solved my issues, great all around vehicle.

    Spring Swap

I'd start with F Codes in the rear improving ride & handling, & then once you get the rear where you want it, then you could decide on the front height. Being you are already lifted you may not need to touch the front. The D front spring would be fine with a hanger kit, since they won't bottom...

    Tired of LOUD "engine" Noise!

Bill, IIRC they were ok when new, but developed the noise over time, does that sound right? Dennis

    Spring Swap

I see one person did or may have done the "A Codes" IMHO I would not do that. A Codes would need Air bags for towing for certain. Heck just my family loading the X for vacation the B's are borderline not enough. For towing I level with the air bags. When I did the B Codes, F's were not...

    Tired of LOUD "engine" Noise!

The 99 T/C sounded like marbles rolling around as they get short on life. I'd bet steaks on the grill. :thumbs Get a BTS & be permanently done with it. Ford no longer offers the single disc T/C, it's now an upgraded 3 disc setup. It's probably the cheapest new replacement convertor...

    Show off your Excursion/s here!

Here's some links. I'd like to go to 35's, but I'm thinking I'll need to lift it slightly more for them to fit. I want to lift as little as needed. IMO, I like the trucks with a 4" lift and bigger tires. I'm looking to retain mileage somewhat too. 285/75-16 didn't effect our mileage at all...

Interesting, but you have the 6.0, I think mine may be different. Glad you like yours, where did you get it. Thanks, Dennis

    less is more

They make guage mounts for dune Buggies that would be a clean dash mount addition. At least a little cleaner, I like the idea.

    08' Front End on Excursion

Wife wants to mod her rig, I'm thinking it's too much money. I'd like to add a hood with scoop if were going to buy a new hood. I don't think the 08's have aftermarkets hoods available yet. Anybody doing this yet?

Hello out there..... Alive & busy! 2 for 7$, That's incredible! I'd buy 10, maybe 20. Actually I'm looking strongly at Oil Bypass systems, the oil prices are getting high, maybe going longer with Synthetic & Better Filtration is making more sense, cents.

Trans leaking out the front on my F250

Hey gang, been busy & haven't been around in awhile, but the trans is leaking out the front seal BIG TIME! Now, I've been planning on going with BTS ever since I bought both of my PowerStrokes new. Told the wife we need to set aside the money ahead of time to be ready & make the trip to Lead...

    Optimas vs. Mega Trons

Are there any reasons to not go deep cycle batteries? What's the up or down side here. What's the life span on the more pricey Optimas? Snowman

Crazy ideas for improving fuel economy...anyone gone THIS far?

You know it's funny, I did buy the Excursion PSD for mileage, so how do ya like them apples. Go Ahead and laugh, I'm am right now. No other vehicle can haul, tow &/or match the PSD Excursion's (safety) raw abilities with the MPG it offers. Some of us don't use these vehicles as they were...

    1,000 lbs more?

Yeah, I can feel it when I drive the Excursion. It weighs considerably more. Funny that a F250 PSD 4X4 Crew Cab with Fiberglas Cap could be considered light. It's not light, but next to the Excursion, it is definately lighter. They both have the same springs and shocks now & I couldn't be...
