    3.31 gears with taller tires

    I understand the ratio changes with the tire diameter, I was just wondering if anybody had done it with this setup. Is the 6 sp auto in the 6.7 geared differently? It seems to accellerate fine in stock form. I don't want to kill the trucks performance but those stock tires belong on a VW bug. :dunno

    I know its not optimal but my truck(2011 sb/cc) came with 3.31 gears. Has anybody put a taller tire on and what effect did it have on power? I'm thinking maybe a 285/70/17. 33 " tall. Thanks in advance

    Fuel mileage?

    Just picked up a 2011 leftover 250 cc/sb 4x4 yesterday. 3.31 gear. Still on the first tank (266 miles total on the truck) and avg mpg is 20.6. No interstate driving, all county roads in the adirondack mts of northern NY. I'm hoping the comp is close. :D

    Thanks again. I've checked both thier web sites and do not find a head pipe. I'd buy one myself and install it rather than have the dealer tie the truck up for a week.

    I thought my turbo(one of them) was bad. Keep hearing a really high pitched squeal but only while accellarating above 55 mph. Around 25-30 lbs boost. Dealer tells me hes quite sure its some pipe behind the turbo that cracks. He's replaced several already on the 6.4's. Anybody heard of this or...

    Tires for 18" King Ranch wheels?

    Shop around. I can buy those tires for 270 each mounted and balanced at my local Sunoco station. I had them on my 06 350 and they wear very well. I replaced them with Nitto Grapplers. Not my smartest move.Lets just say you get what you pay for.

    I noticed most all of the 245/70/19.5's are 33" tall. Does anybody make anything taller? They look pretty wimpy on the front of my 450.:dunno

    Exhaust filter cleaning

    How often does this 6.4 "clean" the exhaust filter? I have just ove 450 miles and the "cleaning exhaust filter" signal has come on twice already. Is this the DPF that everybody deletes?

    Thats 275 and 310 power gains? That is amazing mileage. Is that a safe tune? I guess I'm really behind on the tech for these motors.

    Titan Fuel tank question

    Thank you. Titan got back to me and you are correct. The fuel gauge is accurate, but the trip meter is not. Thats fine, I'll watch the gauge. With the 100 gallon transfer tank in the box, plus the 67 under, I can get WAY out of town. :sweet

    Triple Dog on new F450

    No, I don't expect much mileage at all. But if a chip or programmer will inprove it at all, I'd be ok with that. We tow a trailer to alot of car shows in the summer, that was the reason for the dually and I'm sure this thing will tow a small house. But if a programmer helps a truck with 3.73s...

    I just got a new 450 4x4 crew and it has 4.88 gears. I really need some sort of fuel mileage help. 58 miles home from the dealer. Avg mpg- 12.2. The 06 6.0 w/36" tires and 3.73's that I traded got 17.5 on the way down. :doh:

    I heard about this site from a friend. I just picked up a new F-450 SD 4x4, crewcab, King Ranch. I'm hoping to get the scoop on the 6.4. I had a 06 with a 6.0 and hope this one is as good.
