I agree Commander, I ended up replacing mine with the post 3/99 hubs and rotors, new pads, new seals, new o-rings, rebuilt the auto hubs, new Moog ball joints, new U-joints, new outer axle shaft and $1,200 BUX later! Now to tackle the rear end...

OK... I pulled the passenger side hub. Looks good, no visible or mechanical wear or looseness. I plan on cleaning it up, packing the needle bearing and re-installing it. The rotor flange is indeed 13 MM on this side (passenger) also. The vacuum o-ring is there, but...the thrust washer was put in...

No...I never pulled the hubs. I always had the dealer do it, and apparently they never actually serviced them even after all of my bitching & complaining about it. I have though serviced the auto-locking hubs at least yearly but never noticed a problem until recently. Why would the o-ring be...
Well...I found the problem... :sweet NO O-RING WAS INSTALLED ON THE HUB AT THE FACTORY!!!! :clap: NO WONDER I HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THIS LEFT FRONT HUB SINCE THE DAY I PURCHASED THIS TRUCK BRAND NEW! :eek:
Also, the hub looks like it didn't seal properly around the knuckle...

Yes, you have to change the rotors to the post 3/99 part. Well...bad news. I just fininshed taking my left wheel assembly apart. I am so lucky I didn't have a catastrophic failure! Not only is the hub shot, it destroyed the knuckle and the axle shaft. I have had trouble with this...
