Injector pressure regulator replacement $2200 !!!!!??

Actually they're also installing an egr delete, and a new IPR. I'm estimating about $1800 in labor alone. IS this excessive!? It seems really high to me.

    Help Needed P r n d 3 2 1

The indicator needle has slipped/gotten out of adjustment. When in Park it points about to R. When in D it points to 3. Is there a way to adjust the indicator needle, or has something likely broken? I'm not even sure where to begin to look.

Help, Took HFCM apart, parts fell out

Dave, what I really need is a blow up of the return valve. The dealership mechanic said it is broken, that's why it came out in pieces. The problem is I don't see anything broken, I'm not sure I have all the pieces, and I can't figure out how to put the valve back together

Help, Took HFCM apart, parts fell out

and I don't know how they go back together. I have a 2003 6.0, I took the fuel water separator cover off to change the drain plug since it is stripped. I have a black plastic piece that seems to fit in the upper compartment. I also have a plastic valve with springs, and another valve I believe...

    2011 SuperDuty

The issue with the newer trucks is with higher levels( say 50% or better) of BD. Prior to 2011 the regen cycles would inject fuel late in the exhaust cycle having it vaporize and travel down to the DPF. The problem is BD vaporizes at a higher temp, too high for that late in the cycle. This...

    Anyone use Biodiesel?

Also Bd has been proven to have better lubricity than Petrodiesel. As for SVO the jury is still out. Most feel that any common rail system should not use SVO or WVO. There are some new treatments (centrifuge) that may make SVO and WVO acceptable. I know of a few who are mixing centrifuged WVO...

    Anyone use Biodiesel?

I've been running BD for about 50,000 miles. I always pass a 3/27 test, then water wash and keep soap below 100ppm. I had a weird occurrence a few months ago the FICM and all 8 injectors went all at once. I can't believe that event was fuel related though. If you have a DPF prior to 2011, BD...

    3003 radio wiring colr codes?

I have the 6.0, and the colors that my manual gives and the colors on the connector are different.

    3003 radio wiring colr codes?

2003 radio wiring color codes? My damn chilton manual doesn't show them for anything past 2002. My truck is a 2003, I need to know the colors for the L and R front, + and - .

    Air Dog causing no start?

My truck wouldn't start, virtually no fuel pressure (maybe 10 PSI). I disconnected the Air Dog unit to isolate the fuel pump. I turned the key on and suddenly got 55 PSI. Plugged in the Air Dog unit and pressure raised to 60 PSI. Shut truck down and tried to restart, again not enough pressure...

Help Needed Won't start. Using auto enginuity

No, I didn't run out of fuel, in fact I had 3/4 of a tank. I had 55 PSI fuel pressure to the fuel bowl. I do run Biodiesel, Lately 50%. The dealer tried to make an issue of that, but I told him, look I've been running Bio for over 2 years, 50,000 Miles. It makes no sense that all eight would go...

Ok, I really need my truck, so I sent it to the dealer. They said that my FICM was definitely bad. They replaced it, and still no injector buzz. They replaced one injector and reran the buzz test again. The replacement injector buzzed. So they replaced the rest of the injectors. The good news is...

New Ficm, still fails the Buzz test, No Noises what so ever. I'm going to replace the #8 injector to see if it will start to buzz, That way I'll know if its that all the injectors that are bad, or if I need to look somewhere else. That injector tests in a balanced condition anyway.

No codes concerning the FICM. It seems that no buzz test is the definitive answer though.

Yes I thought of that late last night, so all the tests I ran today were with the Banks unit out of the loop. I also figured if it goes to the dealer they're going to disconnect it any way. Although it runs its own checks and gives a green light to show all is OK. Yes it was displaying a green...

By the way I pushed and pulled on the harness wires and ran the cranking test again with no change. I was unable to get one of the covers on the left fenderwell off. So I didn't see any blown fuses. Also all power readings on the scanner show power present. I really took my time and went through...

I added it. Please guys don't argue. It won't do me or anyone else any good. I ran the test again. CMP,CKP are in sync- the value on the real time screen was a 1 in red. However, on the data grid screen it read no, then during cranking it changed to YES. The Profile Ignition Pickup input read...

Dave, what do you think about the CMP failure reading along with the CMP CKP sync failure reading, does that point to the CKP as being bad? What is the likelyhood that the timing gears went south. I'm normally a pretty good mechanic. With gas engines, this is my first diesel. But these...

I have not seen codes, 2614 or 2617, which would indicate a wire chaffing issue. I realize it still could be. I will check later.

The cranking 2000 psi was with the engine cold, its 35F and raining outside as I write this. I'll try to remember to check it again later. I'm thinking that the "injector control pressure" is the HPOP? And that was a max reading after extended cranking, on a 60 amp battery charger.

ATK, specifically what fuses and where would they be located. When I go back out later. I'm going to check for wire chafing, and any fuses you suggest Actually it was late last night before I even figured out where the FICM is. My chilton's manual "SUCKS" it doesn't even mention the FICM. I...

Wife came and got me. I'm at home truck is at my job. What I have decided is; if its the FICM I'll have it towed to Ford. If its the cam and or crank sensors I'll do them myself. Looking at the data I posted last, It looks like either the cam pos. sensor or crank pos. sensor is likely bad. My...

I just ran the cranking test again. Cam Position sensor failure test read, 0, was in green. CMP CKP in sync, 1 in red. FICM info for sync,1 in red. Injector control pressure 2000 in green, Injector control volts 2.6 green. I did run the buzz test yesterday and got no response. I heard nothing...
