Hey guys I know you can help. My buddies truck 150,000 Miles always Maintained. Statred this truck this Morning chilly for Here 30s Started up ran alitte ruff, Let it Idle for a few minutes Went to back out of his driveway Just shut down. No wait to start light and No smoke out of the Tailpipe so no fuel. Tried to scan it and would not even connect, thought ECM replaced. still nothing any Advice. Fuel filter is full drained it and cranked it and filled back up.

Well the tach is working so We figured that was ok replaced about 2 years ago.

Tried to scan it and would not even connect, thought ECM replaced.

Check for proper ground of the OBD port up under the glove box.

Sounds simple but check the oil. When the oil is cold it does not drain back down to the pan as fast as when it is hot. If it was a little low to start with then the HPOP might have ran out. Only heard of it a few times and it was at sub-zero and colder with 15w-40 but you did mention that it is chilly..

Check #22 Maxi fuse under the hood.If it is blown you will need to unplug the fuel heater and replace the fuse.

Yep fuel heater, shorts out and knocks out the IDM power.

heres Findings on Truck from Ford. Fuel heater shorted out and took out the the #22 fuse. we checked this fuse twice, good both times truck is running Now. 1300.00 dollars later.
