6.0 issues

Hi there everyone,

I have been reading on here for a few days now, and I want to post my problem.

I have a 2006 6.0
5" turbo back exhaust
58v ficm
studded heads
egr delete
air raid intake
powermax turbo(new)
banks intercooler

My issue is I have turbo flutter under load, the truck sounds like its sucking air threw its teeth when idling. When I am not towing the problem is less obvious. I have hpop and fuel pressure gauges they are fine. I have replaced dam near all the sensors, any ideas???

This sounds like you are running with a partially clogged EGR valve. Take it out and brush it off real good and re-install. I will bet this clears it up. And Niwerk!

I wish it was, but I did the egr delete, no more of those head aches

Is the PowerMax a non-variable vane turbo or variable vane type? If it has vanes it may be a problem with the hydraulic controller.

Its a variable it has a new controll valve in it. Is there any truth to the vgt relearn????
