that is a possibility.check the fuse for the brake lights as well.look for shorted wireing if the fuse is blown.do all your blinkers including the hazards work properly?do you have the factory trailer light option or an after market plug that somebody spliced into the taillight harness?

thats where i would start, and i hope for your sake thats all it is!

OK, got er all fixed up. It turns out that the tailight on my topper got a little toasty. It burned out one of the bulbs and melted it into place along with melting the red cover over it. I guess somehow the bulb created a short and blew a fuse. #13 I believe. replaced both bulbs in the brakelight on the topper and it's good to go. Replaced the switch too. It was $8 at advanced. No biggie. Glad that's all it was, I was gettin nervous there for awhile. Thatnks for the help Zookie and 94!!;tu:hail
