So my truck gets broke into for the 2nd time, this time they only took my Pioneer headunit and my SkyFi2, but left my valentine1 and my iPod, plus other stuff.
Anyway, it was done by cramming a screwdriver in between the sheet metal and the plastic of the door handle, then pushed downward on the rod that the handle uses to open the door to open the door w/o even having to worry about the lock. Take your door panel off and you will see how easy this is. Then proceeding to enter my truck and take my stuff.
So, I have heard of some people making some sort of plate to place inside the door to block this small gap to stop these jacka$$es from doing this. Has anyone here tried or done this, and perhaps has some pics they could post up?
Thanks
Sonny

If they can't get in through the door handle, they will procede to break the glass, now you have lost the stereo and the glass plus a large mess to clean up!

breaking GLASS is creates more noise and some TWEEKER w/ a
screw driver who KNOWS he can pop door handles w/ his screw
driver EASILY will move on to the next truck !

obviously these guys left behind one of the most expensive bits
of equip. (valentine one)...so its gotta be meth heads...quick hit
and run (they dont use their brains...what little they have left).

Breaking auto glass hardly makes any noise. It is much quicker for them to get in by breaking the glass, I know. They didn't get anything, but I didn't get them.

Jimmy Jammers will not prevent them from sticking a screw driver into the lock and twisting. The lock housing is plastic and breaks easily.

While you have the door panel off installing your Jimmy Jammers, install a hose clamp around the door lock housing.
