Tony from Total Diesel Performance can reprogram your TS chip with his programs if nothing has changed. i would get it reprogrammed. if you have a common rail and it's juiced up you know that when you have too much injection timing then your truck will get extremely hot and melt the pistons quickly. now with the TS on your stroke your looking at basically the same thing, but you can't see what it's doing by looking at the smoke show like your cummins.
my truck has seen 1500* a few times for a second or two, but not long at all!! haha. then again the stock turbo is also making around 35psi...

yeah i've got the hot unlock for my common rail and i set it to defuel at 1500 and it doesn't take a lot to get it there they run realy hot even stock they can get 1300 pulling a load. i also have the ebv gutted with a three inch down pipe and straight exhaust but i do still need to get a pyro.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! You WILL burn pistons easy if you don't know what the cylinder temperatures are.
