Wait a minute i read that on the 08's it was a factory option to have 10 lug hubs. Depending on the steering knuckles and hopefully they are the same you should just be able to swap out wheel hubs everything after the knuckle and not have to use any adapters.

The 08's didn't have an option per say...the 08 F450 pickup is built with the same axles as the 450/550 chassis cabs. I don't know enough about the 99-04 450/550 axles to know if the later 05-08 steering knuckles, hubs would swap and then you would still have to find a newer rear axle as well...

The 99 to 04 F450s don't use 8x170 bolt pattern. They use the 8x225 pattern. And yes, our options are a bit limited for this bolt pattern.
