I've finally bought a "real" CCV filter to stop the drips off my back bumper from my CCV mod. Has anyone mounted a RACOR CCV unit and routed the filtered oil back to the block? I have the CCV unit and am looking over mount options, looking for fittings, and cannot figure out where to run the oil. I'm not at all familiar with any possible openings
This is a 4500 series unit (CCV4500-08L). The oil drain line is 3/8" ID, there is a check valve, and they recommend "Locate an unused dipstick boss or other access to the crankcase. Install the train check valve as low as possible into the crankcase, preferably above the oil level".
Thanks in advance. I'll post up some pix once I figure out how to mount this next to the radiator coolant filter..maybe using the aFe compartment as my mount point.
