Watching it, now! Some crazy chit!! The folks along the highway waving are just plain dumb!! The minute that truck decides to swerve off the highway, there is nothing they can do!

at the point when your running away in a pursuit like that drive a truck like that dont ya think it would cross your mind that your not gonna get away... that your gonna get caught and the more s*it ya do the more trouble youll be in???

he might not get away, but stopping 80,000 lbs. ain't gonna be the easiest thing in the world to do. they will probably start shooting out the tires. don't think the PIT manuever is gonna work on a big truck.

They show this thing going slow across three counties and then when something might happen, they cut to regular programming!!!

edit: they shot out rear tires, radiator and fuel tanks to bring it to a stop

GOT HIM!!!!

Just came on TV, he's in custody, and the woman was removed safely.
A few minutes ago, the dog that was also in the truck was let out, then SWAT shot teargas into the cab. A couple of minutes later the guy came out and sat down on the side of the truck and was taken into custody.

Hopefully the woman's okay and he didn't do anything to her.

Gonna have to watch Channel 4's 9 PM news to get more details, other networks at 10.

I think cops are so funny when it comes to something like this. They get a bad case of the dumbaxx on stopping a big truck. All you have to do is shoot a hole in the air lines that go to the trailer brakes. It's over. Shooting holes in fuel tanks is just not smart . I just can't believe they did that one. Think God it didn't blow up.

Local agency's its to big of a liability and risk to shoot in a populated area. That's why we waited for the DPS Troopers once out side the city limits due to them having the authority to shoot and disable a vehicle. They also wanted to get in a clear area. Diesel fuel doesn't ignite as easy as gas....
Remember most local officers can not fire into a vehicle unless the subject evading first fires at officers, remember the laws are written wierd. DPS is exempt from most due to more broad juristiction and authority.
