Man, if there is even one 1930's era buffalo head nickel or something in there you may have made your money back already.

But what I'm really hoping for is a 1920's era charles daly side by side 12 gauge in mint condition with engraving and gold inlays. Then you could give it to me... :tounge

Oh, and Robert's enlistment papers would not be in a 1930's safe, guys. Those safes are not air-tight, and everybody knows that papyrus reed papers that they used back when he enlisted would have been destroyed by oxidation over the years.

owner's manual for the safe...
and probably some worthless receipts for junk long since rusted into oblivion...

What state was the safe shipped from? Is that where it was last opened 70 years ago?

I say worthless stock and/or bonds, modest jewelry and sepia family photos.
