I know this sounds stupid, but I have one door that will not register closed and the door ajar light and dome light stays on. It's night and like 0 outside so I didn't spend to much time trying to diagnose the problem. How do the door pin switches work on these trucks. I couldn't even find them. This is on a 99 F350 with the crew cab.

There's a sensor inside the door that is doing this to you. I can't remember the part number, but it's a very common problem. I greased my hinge up when it happened a while ago, never happened since

On the 99's I sprayed the latches with WD40 and the lights went out.

I believe I seen it posted before that the sensor is in the latch are and that lubrication w/ WD40 or such will end this problem.

Yup, WD-40 worked for me! Going on an year and a half. Don't replace, just juice it up with WD....

WD-40. Grease will tend to attract dirt and gum up the works after a while.
If there is any water or moisture in the switch, WD-40 is the ticket for it.

I also have one of those new flip-up straw thingy. I have several other old cans so I haven't tried it out yet but it looks like a good deal. I always lose the straw right off..
