OK guys, I'm about to buy a 2001 DRW F350 crew cab 4X4 with the 7.3 diesel engine, long box and Lariat interior AND only 41,000 miles!. This will be my FOURTH Ford with the 7.3 engine and I absolutely love them. However, this is a dual rear wheel truck and I'm concerned about its drivability, particularly around town. I'd appreciate your thoughts before I take the plunge!

Thanks Doug, I suspect that's the opinion of most folks. On another topic... How do you like your Hitch Hiker?

I'm on my 3rd Daily Driver Dually.. Jus' park it out where the parking is Open & Clear.. Walk'in is good for the Body ? :sly;)

The occasional 3 to 5 point parking maneuvers.. keeps yer depth perception & driving skills honed.. too ? :):lmao

We have enjoyed our HitchHiker very much, this is our 2nd one and it's loaded.
We have spent as much as 6 mo at a time in it and we are still married. LOL
Because of some health reason I would like to sale it.

How does your truck handle the Hitch Hiker? I have a 30' Holiday Rambler and puli it with my current '99 F250 Supercab Diesel. It pulls it ok but not as well as I would like. Hopefully the F350 DRW will do better. Any advice???

Thanks Joe! The truck I'm looking at is in Arizona.. planning to fly out next week to take a look. My guess is that it will be love at first sight!

Being an 01 with only 41K on it.. it would be hard >NOT< to fall in love with it.

Hope it works out for ya.

Anyone know what the turning radius if for this beast? I currently drive a '99 F250 Supercab long box SRW and that has rarely been a problem.
