I checked the emergency trailer break-away cable and it all good. Trailer shop looked at it and said nothing is wrong, But they had seen break away switchs go bad and still be plugged in. So I had them put a new one in to be on the safe side.

No, They could not figer out how the breaks were still getting powered up. The E-break switch was plugged in and the breaks were still powered. So they rewired the break system with a new E-break switch and new wires so we will see what happens. I also had them flipping the axles to level out the trailer, it helped with the towing. Now I look like Im ready to go off road camping.

learned the hard way a few years ago that my cable was to long when it got caught between the hitch and the hitch rail and pulled out, locking the brakes. Thankfully we were in a parking lot makeing a turn and not at speed on the road. My solution was tying a loop in the cable.
