Fuel Milage

Just installed the superchip-no matter what mode we set it on,my fuel milage went from 13.9 to 9.9 while towing my 5th wheel trailer..is this normal? Please respond...I'm at a loss.

Wow, that is unusual. What supporting mods have you done to the truck besides the SCMT? I regularly get 12 to 14 towing my 26' TT while set in the tow safe mode and in the tow extreem mode while not towing I get 17 to 18 regularly.

The only other item I have put on is a MAC cold air kit. Other than that everything is stock. Weight or truck & trailer is about 17,500#.I also installed the 3 guage piller pod.

Well, being that you are in Denver and most likely tow to the mountatins. EGT's on a good long grade of 1300° wouldnt surprise me. With your foot buried in it your boost should be 25 lbs. But on the flats at highway speeds you should probably be 850-900° and maybe 7 or 8 pounds of boost.

How is the truck performing unloaded?

How bout unloaded MPG?

Can you feel a seat of the pants increase in power since installing the SCMT?

Getting any unusual smoke either while towing or unloaded?

When was the last time you changed your oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter..............etc?
