I also remember diesel at 18 to 20 cents a gal and I filled up today in Romo, TX for 3.06.9/10 per gal. Most everywhere around here is $3.23 to $3.40

Hey WD,,, where are you at now? Are you still in Texas?
See you in the chat room ok?

Filled up yesterday for $2.89/gal. Funny too cuz right down the street it was still $3.39/gal at another place. Several places on the south end of Castle Rock right now under $3 when most of the rest of Denver is still over $3.20.

Filled for $3.17 a gallon this a.m. I'll get excited when [if?] it ever gets back down to $2.40-2.50.

;) Just to put Fuel Prices in a perspective that drives some of us "Seasoned" guyz to git sidewayz with $3.00+ fer Gas & Dezel ?:) ;)

When there was a "Gas War", my Dad & I would load 5, 55 gallon drums on his Pick-up, go to the Distributor and get 2barrels of 115/145 Avgas (mix for the boat) @ .14 cents per, 2 barrels of "High Test" (car & P/U) @ .11 cents per and 1 barrel of diesel (tractor) for .09 cents a gallon.

Just talked to him last night, he remembers it well. He gave me the costs per. Kinda Not Proper (illegal) but he Knew somebody that Knew somebody.:D

Fully understand Inflation and all that goes with that but.... $3.00+ is still.. Hard to Handle... for us "Seasoned" guyz. (Maxtor ? Wd ?)

:lmao ;) :) :D

I remember a gas war in Homestead Florida back in 1962 where the lowest price was $0.179 gal.

I also remember what #2 was the day I bought her in '02...$1.499.
