Headlight mods?

I had the SUV lites harness on my 03 and let's just say I was less than impressed with the quality and customer service...

and the fact that periodically one lite would stay on all the time or that the other WOULDN'T come on.... but maye I was being too picky

Excellent. The SUVLIGHTS site said something about needing two harnesses for trucks with two batteries - do I need two of these harnesses?

Also, what can I upgrade the bulbs to?

You can upgrade the bulbs to SilverStar bulbs. They are the blue tinted ones that drive the oncoming drivers bonkers. You can find these anywhere that they sell parts.

Hey guys, I never would have considered increasing the output of these lights by changing the harness. I will definately have to check that out when I get back. Does anyone know if the "gosracing" site is down? Tried to link to it but never could.

the double harness is only needed if you don't want a wire running from one side of your truck to the other or if there are clearance problems... (SUVlites first sets were too short to reach and he could make more if you bought two )

Illumination upgrades

I recently completed a total upgrade of my forward illumination system (headlights ).

I started out with the headlight harness like the one available from GOS.
Then I got ICPW 2002 clear-style headlamp housings for my early 99 from GOS.
I finished it off with some Silver Star bulbs.

The amount of improvement is awesome, my low beams look like the old high beams. Also, I went with the "Brite Box" modded harness so the low beams stay on with the high beams.

It's just the help my middle aged eyeballs needed.
