got a chance to buy a used 6.0 L intercooler. Are they worth it to put into a 7.3?

How much would one be worth used?

do I need the 6.0 hoses, they better or the same as the 7.3L

jopes, i recently sold my 6.0 OEM IC with about 105,000 miles on it for 100.00

the bad part was, it cost 53.00 to ship to OH.

look around at ebay, and even here in the marketplace forum.

The best part I have a customer who is currently upgrading his 6.0 IC and I told him I would buy his. think it has around 50k on the clock. there would not be any shipping of it.

In a van down by the river...
If there aren't any writeups, it's pretty simple. Make sure that you have the radiator supported (I used a piece of 2x4 on a floor jack), then unbolt/remove everything that's in the way of the IC. R/R the IC, then re-install everything. It took me ~4 hours to do, but that includes break time.

You'll need to measure the inlet and outlet of the 6.0 CAC. IIRC, most have 3.25" on one side and 3" on the other.

These are the hoses are I used, one 3x3x8 and one 3.25x3x8. Made install easy. I actually got the hose kit that replaced all the hoses. From Here
