I could take some measurements, I just kind of made it on the fly. It actually just sits there. I did put some of the stiff velcro on each side to grip the carpet. I does not move at all.

I used some of that foam core craft poster board stuff to make patterns and to get the floor contour for each side piece. They may still be floating around in the garage somewhere.

The invertor weighs a couple pounds so i need to bolt it down
maybe I can work a mount into it to hold teh laptop at a reasonable level
THanks

The console itself is made of 3/8" (I think) MDF on the sides and the top is 1/4" MDF. I did a little fiberglass resin to clean it up prior to painting. I'm wanting to build a new one w/ some mods and mostly fiberglass construction. Just have not found the energy or time.

mdf should work fine
i am going to cover it with a material similiar to the headliner,
an intake vent hole and put the outlets on the passenger side.
