Well, I've joined the Ranks of those that will No Longer buy an item with a "Mail In Rebate". AND, I will No Longer go to >Peppy young Males<.. for ANYTHING. >M, M, & J< are off my list of Parts Houses.

3rd time was the Charm, for them.

Bought an item with a $30.00 Rebate on a Monday, sent in all the garbage paperwork on Tuesday. Three weeks later, got a card in the mail saying: The Item purchased was not on their list of Rebate Items, in my region, during that period.

Went to the local store. Manager sez: I can't do anything, you have to contact the Regional office by Email or call the 1-800 number.

I call the 1-800 line.. 5 voice mail prompts later I'm told: The expected waiting time is.. 56 minutes.. to speak to a Customer Service Rep !!!!

THATS IT !! THATS ALL !!. I QUIT !!

Okay, I'm done:rant :rant now

man i wouldnt give them the satisfaction...this is largely what these
companies count on...that youll never take the necessary steps
to get the rebate.

id call 'em back...and tie up that 800 number (watts lines are NOT cheap)
if nothing else id make sure it cost 'em in the phone call alone !

OMG, I'm actually going to agree with Bush again...
dial the 1-800 number and lay the phone down on the table.

hard to disagree w/ the Truth & FACTS...although some around
here like to argue my logic and opinion even when they agree.

My wife is the master of getting rebates pushed through.

Will dog the crap out of em till they cough it up.

Just got one this week for a lap top I purchased for my son in July.

I'd think that companies that invalidate rebate offers due to some "spur of the moment, fabricated" reason is just the sort of thing your state's attorney general office would be interested in hearing about.

The problem is, you have to have copies of all documents, forms, receipts etc. You should also have proof as to when the rebate form was mailed in. The proof is in the documentation.

I recently had a new roof put on the house. There was a $150 rebate on the shingles. The good news is I got the rebate. The bad news is it wasn't a check but an in-store credit for Menards where I bought the shingles.
