We are leaving for Quartzsite Arizona in a couple of weeks, and just was checking diesel prices on our route. I think I will bypass fueling in Needles.
They are 60 cents higher per gallon than here.

When we ran our trucks out west, we always tried to avoid fueling up in CA.

Just across into AZ, it was always cheaper.

freekin' opportunist ! gougers ! nothing else but...

no way its costing those guys 60 cents more...course theres
always the tax man to blame !

crap like that makes it EASY to justify an in bed aux tank...and
i wouldnt mind even for a second paying arizona's taxes while
hauling my fuel (in the bed of my truck) around california !

the problem w/ all this is the other states wont be far behind !

Max.. On SR-58.. when you git just west of Barstow, watch for and turn right on >Linwood Road< go 'bout 5 miles south.. BIG Texaco/Shell Truck Stop. RV friendly, reasonable prices, fuel up There, whether you need to, or not. Yul be at I-15, git on it, then I-40E. You can make it to Quartsite without get'n Rip'd at Needles.

Also a Texaco/Shell at AZ-95 & I-10, at Quartsite too.

I'm not try'n to plan yer trip for ya, but when you Post these things (?) I can't help but "Pass It On" :) :dunno :)

Needles CA is a joke, avoid it at all costs. I have stopped only when necessary to get 3-5gallons to make it into AZ. For some reason they have always thought they could rip people of fout their in the desert!

Agreed!

Who to blame?

Surging economies in China and India fed by oil and gasoline have sent prices soaring over the past year, while tensions in oil producing nations like Nigeria and Iran have increasingly made investors nervous and invited speculators to drive prices even higher.
