Looks like its about time to put on some new tires on the old truck, but have a question. I know it's not the right way to do things, but with cash being tight I can only afford to do 2 right now, so which axel should I put them on front or rear? If it matters my big concern is not slipping and sliding on the roads when taking off and control.

Thanks

I would say though, going to a tire shop, it is likely they will only put new tires on the rear if you only get 2. The last 2 pair i bought from Discount Tire, they would only place them on the rear, and this was a front wheel drive car. The new tires on the rear help with control in corners. I asked them to put them on the front, and they would not.

Hi everyone, sorry it took so long to respond, my account was having some issues.

Finally bit the bullet, borrowed some cash and replaced all 4, much better ride and drive now. During the changing process, the shop show me I had a cracked rim. I guess that's why it kept leaking air.

Thanks everyone for your input.
