Question P0404 Egr

OK my truck set off p0404 right after a hard pull, rest the light came right back after a hard pull, but if i drive normal it will not turn on the light, I pulled the egr, was not that bad But I want to say its only 99 present closed as it sits out of the truck cleaned, is this right?

my truck is a 04

Not being 100% closed is what caused the fault. Clean it real good with a small brass wire brush to get off all the carbon build-up and you should be good. There is no 99% with these computers. It is, or it is NOT. No in-between.

Yes We can any Get away with removal of the egr up here, any Trucks 8600lbs and up are exempt from emissions testing

lucky for you eh???? lol i say delete it then...cheaper in the long run and easier on you.
