I going to replace my gear oil in the front and rear end. I am wondering what people think about not putting the limited slip modifier in with the Royal Purple. The bottle says that it has it inside it. Just wondering.

no need...save the expense and
enjoy a beer w/ the money you
saved ;)

Im running RP in the front and
rear now...and ive had no issues.

while you have that rear cover off
you might consider upgrading to the
improved 2008 rear diff alum./finned
cover.

check my mod links for info & pricing

remember the '08 requires longer bolts...

the 08 cover has a nice groove in it that hold the
rtv (form-a-gasket)...pick up a tube of hi-temp
form-a-gasket and youll be good to go.

Oils in diff's

I have been running more modifier in mine ( Yes different brand) and have found that the clutches still work very well in on poor traction surfices. If you have any gravel roads in your area checkout the corner and see how they washboard up. I think that this is from diffs locking and unlocking as they turn at different speeds. So less wear and work better. Thats the reason that I use more modifier in mine.:sly

I just got my diff cover. I replaced both front and rear gear lube with the RP and one bottle of friction modifier in the rear. It looks great and would recommend this to anyone.

Thank you all for your input and assistance.

how many "ounces" is "one bottle" it really doesnt take much...
and the royal purple already HAS the modifier IN it...i havent heard
of anyone else NEEDING to add additional modifier when using royal
purple gear lube.

a "sign" that youd need additional modifier would be "banging" of the
diff in turns or more frequent "banging" (aka lockup).

i suspect you may have so much modifier that your diff
wont EVER lock up now.
