Traction bar snubbers wasted!

Maybe my wife stands on the go pedal too much I occassionally catch her looking out the side mirror for the smoke when she's 'merging' onto the highway

You should see mine... and she is running modded B code's... But the add-a-leaf in back might be keeping hers ok...

Checked out my X with 140k+. Lift kit with tapered blocks and it looks like mine have never made much contact if any. Maybe my ProComp ladder bars have helped. But I rest assured that it is Not a lack of Power or application of said power to the road .
I also take it out mudding occasionally, that really tests the limits of my suspension.

What is the purpose of the snubbers anyway, is it load bearing, articulation, etc?

The snubbers control axle wrap. Depending on where they are located, they either stop the axle from rolling too far forward or back on braking or accelerating. It is hard to imagine but the leaf springs can actually bend into an "s" shape when accelerating and/or braking hard.

I believe the ladder bars on Brett's rig stabilizes the axle wrap to an extent,I'll have to peek at his truck next time around.

FYI

After a 5 weeks and no less the 6 long distance phone calls. I finally got my replacement snubbers and put them on during a break in the monsoon.
