I have bought an 08 F350 single axle 4x4 and have the same sort of transmission/ shudder problem. However, mine only occurs during rain/ wet road conditions and only when I drive the truck hard enough to cause the transmission to downshift. Every occurrance happend at speeds abouve 45MPH and only during wet conditions. Since then, I have taken it back to the dealer who reprogrammed my ECM and TCM. It hasn't rain since then so I dont know if it's fixed. However, now there is a very loud ticking noise coming from under the truck...! In for one fix, out with another problem. Still lovin the truck though...!
