I did all but the grease. I did the shop vac and then started the motor before the pyro is threaded in to get any loose shavings out. A few shavings though the exhaust side of the turbo at idle should not do much. I the exhaust wheel can take in excess od 1250*, this should not hurt it AT IDLE. IMHO.

somebody help me out with this ....

if you do a TIMER....you dont have to use a thermocouple right?
cuz the timer shuts the motor off at a predetermined TIME....

if you do the ISSPRO turbo MONITOR....then the thermocouple becomes
important cuz it decides to shut the motor down at a predetermined TEMP

eh?

thats what I was thinking.... ;)

no sense in keeping the truck running if the turbo temp is below 300 already...

mine is usually about 400-500 after pulling a load, but by the time I get off the highway and cruise thru the neighborhood, pull into the driveway, gather my goods and get ready to depart the vehicle I am at 300 or less.... :thumbs

Exactly my reasoning for not needing a turbo timer...
in the real world you've already let it cool down most of the time...

but, of course, to each his own... it's your truck and I, unlike some, would never dictate what you should do to your truck !!!

That is until I make all the notes for ya :)
