I wuz guna word it in even a more complementary way, toward BP. But then I came to my senses, and realized.. BP would not accept a Compliment.. It'd Ruin his Image.

Finally got to try this and it will not go into program mode. My build date is 10/2001 - perhaps before this functionality was added to the 350s. My '01 F150 SuperCrew works just as you kind folks have suggested.
Wonder if the dealer can reflash the computer for this particular issue since I really like it.
Or maybe have to go the aftermarket alarm route.

Check with a Dealer. When we bought a used Windstar, the dealer reprogrammed the receiver. Allot of it has to do with the Remote >type<, as I remember.
honestly i wouldnt mess w/ it...because you ABSOLUTELY MUST
have an alarm on that truck <in this area>....its possible the dealer
MIGHT turn on the auto-lock feature for free, but i wouldnt count
on that.
for about $450, installed you can get a good 2way-paging alarm, w/
remote start, cool down timer AND auto lock & unlock
the alarm isnt a guarantee that you wont get broken into or STOLEN
but it makes you LESS of a target.
