It may take more than a program to get that done.

What Bryan said - so the question is: how deep is your wallet? Cause your gonna need it to even think about dusting him. Your going to need intake, exhaust, fuel system, injectors, etc etc. maybe some gas and then a programmer.

what does it matter [age] If all he has is a fuel system and a set of f5 injectors, why do you say it will take a lot of money? Ill scrap the psd go get me a 12v and a fuel plate and be done with it.

Well I hate to tell you the bad news but it takes alot of money to hot rod a psd.

Here's my recipe:

Intake- $50 DIY
Exhaust- 4" SS $450 IIRC
WW-$70
Custom chip-$450
ATS housing-$425
SB ConOFE clutch-$900 IIRC
In/tank pre-pump mods0- $35
HX hose-$40
BPRV- $30
FP reg- $60 IIRC
Gauges- $400(including outside FP gauge)
CCV mod- $15
PRE pump fuel filter- $200
On board diagnostics to let your tuner know what's going on- $400

This has yielded me just over 300 HP at the rear wheels.

To do list...to get to at least 360hp

Fuel system- $425
Stealth HPOP- $2000 usually
van turbo- $900

If I didn't have PMR's injectors would cost around $3000 for custom stage IIIs that I would want. Then I would need fire-rings, bigger turbo, studs.

You can do your own math.

Dang... it really takes that much stuff to get an 01 PSD up to 300 RWHP? Did you start with the 250 HP or the 275HP 7.3?

275hp on the valve cover.

That dyno number was Evo programmer on level 3

Don't know what the chip will lay down. It doesn't feel as strong but HPOP doesn't keep up either. 2100psi if I'm lucky.

I guess I didn't realize it took that much to get the older PSD up to 300RWHP. You guys that are laying down serious HP with those 7.3's, my hats off to you for all the work and the money.

Us 6.0 guys have it easy: 1 $500 tuner, $500 exhaust and an intake and we are seeing 400RWHP. The question is, will our 6.0's hold together in the long run.

Mind you the above is not a flame, or a bash. I just never realized what it took to get the 7.3 up there in the HP environment.
